Now in its eleventh 12 months, a surprising picture of fir bushes being weighed down by monarch butterflies took house the Grand Prize. Grand Prize Winner: “The Forest of the Monarchs” by Jaime Rojo. Human Nature Finalist: “Hopeless” by Alvaro Herrero, a haunting picture of this ill-fated, entangled humpback whale captures the grim actuality these magnificent marine mammals face in oceans world wide.
Terrestrial Wildlife Finalist: “A Second within the Solar” by Kathleen Borshanian, exhibiting an Arctic Blue Fox on the cliffs of the Pribilof Islands having fun with a uncommon second of sunshine on the normally foggy isle.
